Why should you hire a Professional?

To ensure the health of inhabitants and the stable operation of the HVAC unit in your home, duct cleaning is crucial. Most times the constituent parts of your HVAC system eventually will become polluted with debris, dust particles, and other foreign matter. Mold growth will flourish with even the slightest existence of water, thus allowing spores to be discharged into the air that you are breathing in- some spores will irritate allergies to anyone exposed.

You will receive countless offers from non professional companies out there. It is in your best interest to hire a company that is NADCA certified. You want the indoor air quality in your home to be at the top notch of the scale. Once you start noticing abnormal dust build up and can visibly see growth of mold/dust on your vents it is time to contact a professional. There are also parts of the HVAC unit that are not visible or accessible, so its advised that you contact a professional to assure you that your HVAC unit is the cleanest it could possibly be.

Keep in mind that getting your air ducts cleaned is also done as a precaution to having any issues with the performance of your HVAC system. Do not wait until problems arise before you get your air ducts cleaned. Its fundamental to have the system serviced as required, if not you could incur a lot of charges that could have been avoided.

How To Tell If There Is Mold Growth In Your Building

Mold growth is common in houses and businesses. Often on shower curtains, bathroom tile walls, and in kitchen drains, mold and mildew are anywhere there is water. Oftentimes, mold growth is hidden inside walls from leaks or any place where moisture just sits, giving plenty of food for mold to live on and grow. Some molds can be toxic, but all can produce unpleasant symptoms. Here are some ways to tell if there is mold inside your building:

Mold Growth In Your Home Or Business Can Produce Allergy-Like Symptoms

How To Detect Mold Growth

A Musty Smell

You know when you have left dishes in the sink for too long and they start to smell? That’s mold. That type is easily to notice and clean, but if there is a musty smell in the basement or coming from the walls, then there is a leak from a broken pipe.

Physical Symptoms

Sneezing, trouble breathing, irritated eyes and skin, and runny noses are caused by mold spores floating in the air. Toxic mold can cause headaches, trouble concentrating, memory loss, and dizziness. Find the source of the mold, get it removed, and watch as your ailments instantly disappear.

The most common form of a large amount of mold growth is from water leaks in your HVAC or waterline piping systems. The technicians at DRX DUCT LLC offer commercial duct cleaning to help clean out vents of mold and spore growth. DRX Duct Cleaning has been specializing in commercial air duct cleaning services in NJ for over 25 years. If you think your building is suffering from poor indoor quality, give us a call and we will be more than happy to perform an inspection and determine if air duct cleaning and HVAC remediation may be necessary to cure your building’s healthy! Call us at 908.755.2950 for mold growth removal in North Plainfield and Bridgewater, NJ.

What to expect when we arrive at your residential home in NJ.

While every job is unique, here is a general overview of our typical air duct cleaning process.

1. First, we will “zone” the HVAC air duct system’s supply and return sides. We use zone bags in order to get this done.
2. The vacuum will then be connected by using what’s called a connection collar, and then the vacuum will be turned on.
3. All supply registers will be closed off to maximize the negative pressure. At that point, we will then clean one duct at a time using this method: All supply ducts will be cleaned using our viper whip system where we snake down 20 plus ft inside every vent. This will disturb and dislodge all dust and debris in the main trunk lines.
4.When the supply branches are cleaned out, the main trunks and the plenum drop will be cleaned using high-pressure air compressed agitation air whipping tools.
5. When the supply side is cleaned completely, we will then start to work on the return side of the system. Like the supply side, the return side will also have a hole cut into it, with the vacuum being connected using a connection collar and the vacuum is turned on.
6. All return ducts will be cleaned using our viper whip system where we snake down 20 plus ft inside every event. This will disturb and dislodge all dust and debris into the central truck lines.
7. After all ductwork including the main truck, lines has been cleaned; the ductwork can then be sanitized or disinfected.
8. We then air wash cleaned the furnace, squirrel cage, and blower motor.
9. Finally, when the air ducts have been completely cleaned, all of the holes will be closed using high-quality sheet metal sealing off any leaks, making it easier to access the ducts for future cleanings.
10. A final walk-through is performed ensuring everything is clean before leaving.

Should I Get My Air Ducts Cleaned?

Should I Get My Air Ducts Cleaned

Below Are Reasons You Should Get Your Air Ducts Cleaned.

Did you know that five to seven times a day, the air in your home circulates throughout a system of air ducts? As this air travels, it’s passing over dust, dead skin cells, dirt, allergens, hair, and other debris and respiratory irritants produced by everyday living? These respiratory irritants are left to collect in the ducts. This air then blows back out for you and your family to breathe in again.

Your furnace filter is meant to catch a lot of the debris, but poor maintenance, lack of proper precautions during remodeling renovation projects, or poorly installed ducts can lead to a buildup of unhealthy junk inside your ductwork that threatens the efficiency and lifespan of your HVAC system.

Are Dirty Air Ducts Bad For The Health Of You And Your Loved Ones?

While the EPA (Environmental Protection Agency) states that as of yet, there are no current studies that prove air duct cleaning prevents health problems, some people will be more vulnerable to dust, pet dander, or other airborne particles than others. These include young babies and children, people with allergies, asthma, compromised immune systems, people with pre-existing respiratory conditions, and the elderly. For these people, cleaning the air ducts eliminates the contaminants that their air must pass over before it reaches them. If it makes your eyes water or nose itchy just thinking about what could be in your air ducts, hiring the right professionals to clean your home is a worthwhile investment. Before you call in the pros, take a peek to see if your ducts are dirty.

Take a Quick Look For Any Of These Symptoms

  • Visible dust, debris, or other particles that are blowing out of the supply registers
  • Mold growth on the inside of ducts.
  • dead insects or rodent excrement in the ducts.

Reasons To Clean Air Ducts

  • Cleaning the ducts will remove any accumulated dust or debris so they won’t continue to cycle through the house.
  • When you remove any debris, dust, or cobwebs, it increases airflow and the efficiency of your system, saving you money on energy costs, and increasing the lifespan of your system.
  • Are your ducts made from fiberglass? Fiberglass has a tendency to collect more dust than sheet metal, so it’s a good idea to have it cleaned regularly.

Choosing The Right Duct Cleaning Company

Beware of the fly-by-night companies who are not certified, offer low prices, and even lower quality of service — and in some cases, don’t do anything at all except walk through the house, and then leave with your money. There are many scammers out there. DRX Duct Cleaning is proud to be NADCA certified and guarantees a NADCA certified tech on-site at every job every time. We offer a variety of services including air duct cleaning, dryer vent cleaning, sanitizing, chimney cleaning etc. We are NJ’s most exclusive duct cleaning company. For more information, give us a call today at (908) 755-2950 to get your air ducts cleaned in New Jersey. We look forward to servicing you!

Why One Size Air Duct Cleaning Pricing Does Not Fit All

Why One Size Air Duct Cleaning Pricing Does Not Fit All

Not All Air Duct Cleaning Pricing Is Created Equal.

One size fits all works great for some things, but air duct cleaning is definitely NOT one of them! Don’t be fooled into thinking you’re getting a great deal. For example, what if our property taxes were one size fits all, and you all of a sudden had to pay the same as your neighbor whose taxes are $1,000 more than yours? Would you think one size fits all is a good idea then? Would you want to trade utility bills with the guy down the street who has an entire additional floor to his home, which contains a home office, and master suite? I think not. Surely one cost fits all is a bad idea when it comes to things that have so many variables, such as our homes! That being said, the same is true for duct cleaning pricing.

A customer with a 3 bedroom ranch style home with 1,300 sq feet should not be charged the same duct cleaning pricing as the owner of a 5 bedroom 2 story colonial with 2,200 sq feet. For example, $350 may sound great to the guy in the 5 bedroom colonial – but at that rate, the owner of the ranch is getting ripped off. DRX knows that every home is different, and our customers have a variety of unique needs for their NJ air duct cleaning. That is why we offer a number of custom pricing options to fit YOUR individual needs, not the other guys. So leave the one size fits all to the novelty T-Shirts, and make sure you’re getting a FAIR price on your NJ air duct cleaning. Go with the pros at NJ’s most exclusive duct cleaning company, DRX! Call DRX Duct today at (908) 755-2950 for duct cleaning in New Jersey.

Comparing Duct Cleaning Companies?

WHY IS IT SO IMPORTANT TO CHOOSE A NADCA CERTIFIED COMPANY TO PERFORM  DUCT CLEANING???

-NADCA (National Air Duct Cleaners Association) sets the standards and codes for proper procedures in the duct cleaning industry. Choosing a company solely based on price & not their level of experience, training, and certifications could cost you much more in the end.

-A certified company represents honesty. We won’t bait and switch you on the price. The estimate you receive is the same price you’ll pay on the day of service.

-A certified technician will use the safest & most effective tools and methods to perform your air duct cleaning in accordance with the EPA. DRX DUCT never uses inferior equipment, products, or procedures not authorized by the EPA to perform our services.

-All certified technicians go through a strict training process and testing to ensure they have a proper understanding of the correct way to execute air duct cleaning procedures.

IN CONCLUSION …. Choosing a NADCA certified technician like the ones found at DRX DUCT LLC ensures that you will receive a thorough cleaning, fair & transparent prices, and service performed by a technician who is both thoroughly versed in his trade & using the proper equipment to service your air duct system.
